Please take a minute to read this document about the LONG history of our parent led organization that will be 50 next year, and we have some exciting news to share.
As the president of this organization I cannot express enough my gratitude for the hard work of the parents. I have been a part of this organization for the past 20 years and have seen the hard work of upgraded boards, an upgraded Olympia, and most importantly the development of the smiling kids at the rink. It is with the hard working parents and volunteers this is possible. And I along with the board of directors want to express our gratitude.
MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR OUR 50th SEASON we are looking to:
There will be a dramatic reduction in the registration fee for NEXT season. We are working on the possibility of having an all girls team, but need to get the word out. We would like to again have an 18U tournament bound team, as well as a 16U tournament bound team as well. None of this would be possible with out the hard work of the parents that keep the organization, clean and safe for the kids. Please keep checking our FACEBOOK page as well as this website for more information to come.
Salmon River would like to expand our programs and add more teams! We will need More Coaches! If you are looking to make a difference in a players life then become a coach! Salmon River is looking for knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated coaches to help develop our players to be the best player they can be. Follow the coaches link to register today!

Salmon River is excited for our 50th Anniversary Season to be starting in just a few short months. To get ready for our upcoming season we are actively looking for more coaching at all our co-ed hockey levels that include learn to skate, 8u,10u, 12u, 14u, 16u and 18u. We are also looking for someone to head a girls team.
A coach should be positive, enthusiastic, supportive, trusting, focused, goal-oriented, knowledgeable, observant, respectful, patient and a clear communicator.
If you or someone you know has these qualities and is able to coach please attend the coaches meeting that is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20th, at 6pm at the rink. At this meeting you will learn what you will need to be eligible to coach at Salmon River, and what the next steps are that you need to take.
If you are a current coach and you are planning to continue to coach next season, please attend the coaches meeting on April 20th, as there will be new information regarding the upcoming season available to you.
Any questions please contact Derrick Goodnough via email at email@example.com
We are looking forward to an exciting year of hockey!
SRIHA Board of Directors
Salmon River hockey is a volunteer youth hockey organization. Our Ontario Bay High School Hockey team consists of 6 school districts (APW, Mexico, Pulaski, Sackets Harbor, Sandy Creek and South Jefferson).
We have divisions for players who are 3 years of age to seniors in high school (girls and boys). Teams practice twice a week with games on the weekends for Squirts, Peewees, Bantams and Midgets. We also have home and away tournaments.
Our mite program is designed for new players ages 3 to 8 and for first year skaters. You will learn to skate and play the game of hockey. Mites practice twice a week with a few games at the end of the season.
The normal season for all levels runs from the middle of October till the middle of March.
